Nagau: Ramtal Resort and a few pictures

I wrote about the journey from New Delhi to Nagau (the journey ) and a few things you can do while you are there (things to do). It’s time to show you some pictures from our scintillating experience and also review the resort (#RamtalResort) we stayed at.

We have reached!!!
The entrance to the resort. It’s a new resort and they are still working on the looks.

That’s the dining hall right there

Ramtal Resort is at an arm’s distance of Ramtal Gardens and as the landmark suggests, you can expect to see lots of land laden with different crops and flowers. Bees and butterflies are a common treat to the eyes, romancing with the beautiful flowers in the fields.

Beauties like these are pretty common at the #RamtalResort
Ensure your safety though πŸ™‚

#RamtalResort is a budget resort and their tents have all the basic things you might need. A king size bed, a single bed for any extra person, a side table, warm blankets as the temperature really dips during the night, charging points, a modern basic bathroom with toiletries (handwash and soap). Do remember to carry your towels and any other items you can’t survive without. The tents are spacious and comfortable.

One of the 6 permanent tents they currently have. This is the view from the dining hall.
This one was ours πŸ˜€

They put up these camps for us the last night of our stay
To stay warm when the nights get colder

The owners are a lovable couple who are extremely hospitable and accommodating. They are a young duo who you can reach out for anything to make your stay comfortable, and they ensure they do all that they can. There are a few helping hands at the resort who are also very friendly and do their jobs really very well.

Meals at #RamtalResort are served at the dining hall, where you can grab a seat next to the window and have your meal while staring at the beautiful view of the Himalayas (and its snow-laden peak if you are lucky). I have put up a picture of the view above. Food menu is limited but extremely tasty. You do not have to worry as they serve both Veg and Non-veg dishes.

Spending time at the resort is not a problem, you can sit at the veranda watching the clouds sail past you or opt for hiking or trekking to the nearby places. You can spend hours exploring the gardens or just read a book while your favorite country songs soothe your mind.

Back from the trek, the veranda welcomed me to this view.
Found the perfect reading spot
Loved the snake-like road

And here are some pictures from the trek to the temple at the cliff of the mountain.

The trek starts
I chose the shortcut, meaning I walked through fields like these until I touched the mountain
Quaint and Charming
I have reached the temple, time for some blessings.
I am at the top of the world πŸ™‚
Took the trails while coming back, left some while going to the top.
Beware of bushes like these, sure they gave me a lot of bruises πŸ™‚ The pleasure of accomplishing something is worth the pain though.

Hope you liked the pictures. Do leave a comment, I love reading them πŸ™‚ Have a blessed week and stay happy!!!

Awesome pics….there are many other places to see at Chakrata..

    1. Shanta says:

Thank you. Indeed, 2/3 days are not enough to explore places like Chakrata when someone like me would spend hours watching butterflies and bees πŸ˜€ πŸ™‚
