Andamans: Day 5: The Sea Shell Resort and a lazy day

Day 5 in the Andamans was a lazy one, infact, this was what our holiday was meant to be..indulging in the tranquility of the island. Mr. Husband headed for his dive number 2 early in the morning, while I decided to take a stroll in the resort, find a favourite spot and submerge in the stupendous view that the Andamans had to offer.
By Day 5, we had comfortably shifted to Sea Shell Resort, which is closer to the Havelock Jetty. We were welcomed with chilled coconut water and were guided to our beautiful Lagoon. It was a spacious yet cozy, filled with all the luxury you need while you are there. I am quite fond of the spa products that some resorts/hotels offer, and I loved the ones offered by Sea Shell. The experience at Sea Shell was way better than that at Munjoh, if I exclude the private beach. This was again a beautiful property, wonderful hospitality, great service…in small, the ideal treat for the soul. They have a bar in the middle of the property, named Fluidz, and it played such peppy numbers (mostly reggaes), I couldn’t help myself from dancing like no one’s watching. I wasn’t drunk (just so you know :P) though the bar served mouth smashing mock tails, cocktails & flavorsome seafood besides the splendid view of the sea. Just be there if you are anywhere nearby.
Mr. Husband met with a few locals for fishing in the afternoon, exchanged some talks about the places they all have been to and the variety of fishes they could lay their hands on. I was busy capturing the places, and the resort’s dog (I called her Maddy) accompanied me in all the steps I took. She was so adorable, I couldn’t resist clicking a few pictures with her.

No, this wasn’t a sponsored stay, but I loved the resort so much that I thought I would spend our last day here, with no itinerary, no rules and regulations for Day 6 would be all about taking the ferry back to Port Blair, hop into flights to Kolkata and then to Delhi. Here are some pictures from the last “whole” day in the Andamans. We were spell-bound with the greenery that the islands own, the moisture in the air, the warm hearted people, the luxurious resorts and just everything. This place is definitely on our “go back to” list. Hope you like the pictures as much as we enjoyed clicking them.
